These tabs serve as a professional portfolio. Its designed to give the viewer a small glimpse into the type of professional educator I am both in and out of the classroom. In this portfolio I have included many examples of my professional and personal work. Inside I have attempted to highlight aspects of my professional development while keeping in mind my first priority-the academic and social development of young adults.

Michael is a dedicated educator who maintains a studio of private percussion students from all ages and backgrounds. He provides lessons on concert percussion (i.e., snare drum, mallet percussion, and accessories), African and Afro-cuban drumming, and jazz/commerical drum set.
Michael’s students have received scholarships to attend secondary and post-secondary institutions, and have been accepted to universities across the country.

Providing educational workshops is one of the most important ways I choose to contribute to the musical growth in emerging artists. His workshops on practice techniques, drumming styles, modern solo snare drum music, and contemporary percussion have engaged both students and teachers.
Michael has given dozens of workshops for music festivals, conferences, secondary schools, school districts, charter schools, non-profit organizations, and post-secondary institutions in the United States. A selected list of workshop recipients is located below.
